In Greek mythology, the Nereids (\/\u02c8n\u026a\u0259ri\u026adz\/ neer-ee-idz; Greek: \u039d\u03b7\u03c1\u03b7\u0390\u03b4\u03b5\u03c2, sg. \u039d\u03b7\u03c1\u03b7\u0390\u03c2) are sea nymphs (female spirits of sea waters), the 50 daughters of Nereus and Doris, sister to Nerites.<\/p>\n
